It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Getting our first christmas tree as a family

Madison's first time in the baby bjorn...she only cried for a
couple of minutes and then fell asleep for the rest of the time.

Annnouncing the arrival of...

Madison Grace Jensen
November 2nd, 2007
6 pounds 15 ounces

19 inches long

All I can say is WOW! This is the most incredible thing we have ever experienced in our lives. I can't believe we have a daughter. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. There really aren't words to describe how I feel. So this is how it all happened: I ended up having to get a c-section because her heart rate kept dropping and I was dialating at the speed of a turtle. Well, it all started when I tripped over the lawn mower on Thursday morning and fell back on my butt (I really didn't very hard at all) but it was enough to break my water. So Jay and I went to Overlake hospital at about 5pm. So early Friday morning...around 4am my doctor came in to check on the baby's heart rate and said that if things didn't start to speed up within the next couple of hours he would suggest a c-section. Well, it didn't speed up and I was only dialated to a 6 after 21 hours of labor. And he was afraid that if we waited too much longer it would cause stress to the baby and possibly result in an emergency c-section. So I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and decided to just do the c-section rather than risk it. We're all still in the hospital and are hopefully leaving tomorrow to go home. If not tomorrow then for sure on Monday. My doctor will be in tomorrow and he makes the call on when we can go. Hopefully it will be tomorrow. Well, I've left everyone pictures. I love this little girl so so much!!!

Okay...seriously

So, it's been awhile since I've posted anything. I've been trying to stay behind the camera as much as possible:) Then I finally broke down and figured I'd regret it if I didn't get at least one last prego picture before the big arrival. It's amazing how much I've grown in 8 weeks-since my last picture. I'm starting to wonder if she's ever going to get here or if this is just some sick joke God is playing on me:) My doctor put me on bed rest last Monday because my blood pressure was too high. So I'm not working anymore and I'm completely BORED! But I'm trying to "enjoy" all of this rest time because I know it's coming to an end real soon. I'm only 6 days from my due date and I have a doctor's appointment this Wednesday at 12:30. I'll keep you all posted...

7 weeks to go!

I can't believe that there is only 7 weeks to go until Madison is here! I keep telling Jay that it could be anywhere from 5-9 weeks...give or take two weeks from her due date. I'm so excited to see what she's going to look and be like. Soon...very soon!

We finally made it!

Okay...first off, I do have to confess that when I say "we" finally made it...I really mean "me". Because I know that Jay will never be interested in sitting down to blog:) But I like to live in my own pretend world sometimes and think that he cares. It's about the same way I feel about sitting down and playing a good game of Madden '08!

Well, only 8 1/2 weeks to go until baby Madison is here! We're getting really excited and can't wait to see what she looks like! This is the latest picture just taken a couple of days ago. Sometimes I feel like my skin couldn't stretch any more than it has...and then I remember that from this point on she's going to double in size so there's got to be room somewhere for her to grow. I'm realizing even more through all of this how amazing the Lord is! I'll keep taking and posting pictures as the weeks go on and can't wait to post pictures of Madison! That's going to make this that much more fun!

Here we are!

Here we are!
